(Origami pictures to come) Tea bag folding: This technique started in Holland where they have decorated tea bags. It was started by a woman who liked origami and was just fiddling with the tea bags in front of her. It now has spread internationally and folders may use commercially printed tea bag squares, origami paper, or may print out tiles on their computers which they may have created, or downloaded from the Internet. I also use scrapbook paper. Unlike origami, glue is usually used. Tea bag folding is most often used to decorate handmade cards.
